Wendy has over 20 years of experience working with entrepreneurial and global companies such as Zijin Mining, Skeena Resources, HPX/Cordova, Roxgold, Sunridge, Novo Resources, Vendetta and VR Resources. She has profitably managed businesses with full P&L responsibilities and/or completed key projects ranging from $2-250MM. She has devised strategic plans at Fortune 500 companies and has led negotiations and cross-functional teams in corporate development, marketing, strategic alliances, and product portfolio management. During her time at Moxie Strategy Inc., a boutique strategy, business development, deal structuring and mergers and acquisition firm that she founded more than a decade ago, she has worked on key development projects in Canada, United States, Eritrea, Cambodia, Colombia, Australia and Africa. Moxie works with several Hedge Funds and Private Equity in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America; as well as mining companies seeking investment and acquisition targets in the copper and gold space. Often it is retained to wear a corporate development hat for the client company, working on strategy and business development, facilitating acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and financing. She has a BSc. from University of British Columbia, an MBA in Finance and Marketing from McGill University and an ICD.D, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and a few Asian languages and is conversant in East-West cultures, which has enabled her to have successfully led many cross-cultural business development projects.
